Our principle
We collect the strict minimum necessary for the site and its tools to function. We never sell data, never share it with advertisers, and we avoid third-party services that would capture it on our behalf.
Data processed
- IP address: used in transit to respond to your request and for tool functionality (displaying your IP, indicative geolocation). The IP may be hashed for deduplication in the affiliate click log. It is not tied to an identity.
- User agent: kept hashed when you click an affiliate link, to distinguish bots from humans. Not tied to a person.
- Anonymized analytics: page views, language, duration, with no IP nor persistent identifier. Stored on our own server (self-hosted Umami), never transmitted to a third party.
- Cookie consent: choice remembered in the browser (localStorage), not sent to the server.
What we do NOT do
- ✕No advertising cookies, no Facebook/Google pixels.
- ✕No individual visitor profiling.
- ✕No reselling or data sharing.
- ✕No S2S conversion tracking with partners: affiliate sales are measured on CJ Affiliate's side only, no postback to us.
Your GDPR rights
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise them, write to ads.ericgerard@gmail.com. You can also file a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your national data protection authority.
Retention periods
- Technical server logs: 30 days maximum.
- Affiliate clicks (hashed): 24 months for performance analysis.
- Anonymized Umami data: 24 months.
